Two children are recorded to this couple George and William both christened 10 10 1802 both buried 24 10 1802 No more children
His will of May1861is a lengthy document with a great many bequests and three codicils In addition to bequests to his children and g-children he left bequests to Mary Brandreth house keeper to William £300 Ann Brown £300 Elizabeth Burton houses in Sutton in Ashfield
Charlotte Mary and Joseph__ land at Hucknall bought off Robert at Wragg Lane farm plus land at Blidworth
There is a marble tablet in the tower room at St Werberg Blackwell in Alfreton which reads
"Sacred to the memory of George and Ann Adlington,she was interred Jan 15 1795 age 53 years he was interred July 8 1800 age 58 years Also of Ann wife of George Adlington of Newton who died March 3 1853 age 70 years Likewise of George Adlington Esq of Newton who died Nov 2 1868 age 89 years"
A gritstone tablet above the tower door reads A D 1824 J Gill and G Adlington churchwardens
